On behalf of the department of Communication and journalism, I wish to welcome you to our department with vibrant and very creative student body. In the year 2023, one of our student worn an award dubbed 鈥渂est content creator.鈥� We as a department boast of having many alumni working in the mainstream media in Kenya. As the chair of the department am committed to making sure that, we produce all round seasoned journalists and communicators who can market themselves globally considering that the world is a global village.聽
Ms. Dorothy Igweta is the Chair of the department of communication and Journalism.
She is also a lecturer and a program leader.
Dorothy has a basis in broadcast journalism and public Relations.
As part of her CSR, she educates children from her village, who have challenges in school fees, involved in church activities in her rural area St John鈥檚 Methodist Church.
